VERIFY:geological_stage: stored=norian suggested=rhaetian confidence=medium — This paper describes the Coelophysis Quarry at Ghost Ranch — the source of the neotype and essentially all diagnostic Coelophysis bauri material — as Rhaetian-aged (possibly latest Norian), in the informal 'siltstone member' of the Chinle Formation. Other studies of the quarry fauna likewise assign it an Apachean (late Norian–Rhaetian) age, so a plain 'norian' assignment is outdated.

VERIFY:period_start_mya: stored=215 suggested=205.7 confidence=medium — Biostratigraphic evidence (including Redondasaurus records) places the Coelophysis quarry in the Apachean, i.e. latest Norian–Rhaetian, roughly the last few million years of the Triassic rather than ~215 Ma. A start near the Norian–Rhaetian boundary (~205.7 Ma) matches current literature; older referrals of C. bauri to Revueltian (early Norian) localities are not well supported.
