Gennemgået: 5.9.2026
VERIFY:geological_stage: stored=barremian suggested=valanginian confidence=medium — U-Pb zircon dating of the Yellow Cat Member, which yields the Gastonia burgei holotype, gives youngest single-grain ages of 142.5-133.7 Ma and a Concordia Age of 136.3 +/- 1.3 Ma, i.e. Berriasian-Valanginian rather than Barremian. The stored age range of 136-130 Mya is itself inconsistent with the Barremian (roughly 125.8-121.4 Ma) and matches the Valanginian-Hauterivian instead.
