VERIFY:geological_stage: stored=albian suggested=cenomanian confidence=medium — Herne et al. re-sampled the holotype quarry in the Mackunda Formation and report that "From detrital zircons, we date the holotype locality in the Cenomanian at 96.3 ± 8.6 Ma", superseding the traditional Albian assignment for the type material (referred Allaru Mudstone specimens remain older).

VERIFY:period_end_mya: stored=100 suggested=94 confidence=medium — The same study gives a maximum likelihood depositional age of 96.3 ± 8.6 Ma for the Mackunda Formation holotype locality, placing the youngest occurrence within the Cenomanian rather than terminating at the Albian–Cenomanian boundary at 100 Ma.
